How often do you move your fences, I’m moving mine every morning but don’t if I would just as well to give them a block once a week? There are 175 in that group, with another 480 in 2 other groups on similar beet elsewhere. 180 of those (pedigrees and recips) are due to lamb at the start of March, the rest in April. They'll come off them about 3 weeks before lambing, and I hope the 16ac of beet will keep them well until then. Just hope it stays as dry as it is now...
Dug with Armer Salmon top puller
We leave ours to wilt for a week or so before grazing, otherwise have some go down with calcium deficiency .
I give lambs a fresh strip every day on turnipsHow often do you move your fences, I’m moving mine every morning but don’t if I would just as well to give them a block once a week?
Can’t be any current in that fence??? Every sheep I’ve ever seen would be through two strands of shorted poly wire.My ewes are grazing fresh beet tops attached to the roots of that helps.View attachment 1004130
