Does anyone know of any tractor mounted swathers in the UK? Looking for something belt driven as above?

That wont be very good as heads will be facing wrong way on one sideThe big advantage I see is being able to get 2 swaths next to each other one left hand deposited one right side
Using gps so you can pick 2 up at once with a 3m pickup
The eye in the sky should enable skipping bouts to overcome that. I think I saw that it'll drop on either side. That wont be very good as heads will be facing wrong way on one side
turning the swath would be the next step after swathing it i guess which is much gently with less losses than spreading out . and raking backWould swathing work ok here with our crappy damp weather ?
I’d have thought it’d just get mankey in the bottom and sit there ?
Ahhh. For silage rather than cereal crop to combine…... Makes more sense !!turning the swath would be the next step after swathing it i guess which is much gently with less losses than spreading out . and raking back
lucerne there i think.Ahhh. For silage rather than cereal crop to combine…... Makes more sense !!
If it’s peas you won’t be able to swath tight enough to the ground without losses. Buy a flex head. They’ll shave the groundlucerne there i think.
always thought it would be goofd to swathj peas before the hit the deck before ripe enough to combine
but they would be subject to the prob;em ypou suggest as they wouldnt be able to be air ed up. to vulnerable to loss i guess after swathing . also need a draper header as well i suppose which aint cheap....
fair comment , but unless they can be cut before they go down, then left to desicate in the swath, same as in an unsprayed for weed organic situation, which is part of the idea, whereby they are cut /swathed to dry out the weed that might be there as well. thus improvingthe sample and no needing to dry them .If it’s peas you won’t be able to swath tight enough to the ground without losses.
