Not sure only ever grew them once. Too high and too far north for them up here. Combining at the end of october was no fun. Neither was drying them. Took forever.OK but surely the combine is going to mush them up when unripe?
We're in the same country. But farm in completely different worlds.

Round up surely? Sounds not ready for reglone. If you think they won't be naturally ripe in a fortnight (which I doubt) I'd give it a dose for definite.Still 50 acres of S beans to cut - 25% pods black, rest green still. Out of curiosity put some in moisture meter (marconi) and squeezed. Water oozed out! Any suggestions on how to speed up the ripening welcome -patience in short supply!
Sent trailer and borrowed muck fork to a field today to scrape up the only single swath of straw we didn't put through the chopper on all harvest !
Tried a sraw chopper on it yesterday and it was to wet to even go through that
No no no no no no, turn it a thousand times between now and next march. Then give up and incorporate the tiny amount that's left.....Bale it and send it down to Devon.
Was cutting yesterday. Thankfully have a tracked combine. What a nightmare end to harvest
