How rough did you feel after your first jab?

there is a good reason for that ,and its called money they arnt making any money out of of the az vaccine ,somebody in america who runs a vaccine making company want their share of the looty

From my very limited knowledge on it, it looks like Pfizer and Moderna are turning into the go to vaccines throughout the world for those that can afford it.
Astrazeneca has the blood clot issue, I don't see them approving it when they have an alternative, that so far doesn't seem to have bad side effects.
We are only getting Pfizer here, as its the only one approved.

What happened to all the other vaccines that were in development? Didn't work I suppose. It seems odd that 2 companies got it right straight away and since then there's been no competition.

12 hours after my first O.A.Z jag I felt rough for another 12 hours, shivers and unable to sleep. 10 hours after my second one I felt really rough, another restless night but after 36 hours felt as right as rain. I figured it was worth it and my specialist said in some respects it was a good sign as it indicates my immune system is still capable of responding to threats. If it ever came to it I'd have an annual booster or take another make of vaccine without hesitation.

AZ India jab here didn't want it but Doctor rang up and said they were going to throw it as no one wanted them and as wife is immunosuppressed at present we should have it. Headache for both of us and stiff shoulder for me for several days which I put down to lots of turning with the sprayer but by all of this it seems to be the jab. My Dad got his jab early January and dead two days later ....the ultimate reaction especially since had caught Covid in hospital and had no symptoms.
Same here, my Dad died after his second AZ jab. He was fit and healthy.

My Dad wasn't fit and healthy mentally due to a lot of reasons but it seemed not much physically was going to kill him . He got Covid in hospital but with no symptoms then pneumonia after but had been discharged. They asked if he could have the jab we said yes and three days later he was dead. For us and him I think it was a blessing for yourselves and others not so.

Had second AstraZeneca dose yesterday and have felt fine. First dose I felt a bit like a hangover for a few hours next morning, but soon went.

had my first AZ jab a few days ago, apart from my arm feeling like it had been hit hard the next day I have been fine,
thought that those doing the jabbing and those directing cars and people about the place were doing a great job of getting folk in jabbed and gone to get on with the job and get it done so hopefully we can all get back to some sort of normality sooner and prevent a load more folk ending up seriously ill or worse.

Still fine six days after my second jab.
Was wondering...as I've had no reactions...maybe I've had the convids already.

The opposite would generally be true. If you already have had Covid the immune system is already primed and will attack the first dose of the vaccine quicker and harder making you feel unwell. The good news is, their antibody levels will end up being a lot higher than a person who hasn't previously been exposed to Covid.

Isn't Pfizer in theory the better vaccination?
Any of them will keep you out of hospital and all of them have drawbacks. I initially favoured the AZ vaccine as in the race to produce a vaccine with many shortcuts being taken, I thought the tried and trusted methods would be a safer bet. But this has proved not to be the case, principally due to AZ's inexperience in vaccine production and trialling rather than any problem with the Oxford vaccine itself. Biontech and Moderna you could probably say have got lucky, being at the right stage of development at the right time with a revolutionary new method. mRNA vaccines look to be the way forward being comparatively easy to develop, upgrade and manufacture without variability.

Wife and I both had the Moderna vaccine a couple of weeks ago and both of us were fine apart from a bit of a dead arm for a couple of days. Sister had the same jab and had a bit of a rash on he arm about a week later.
Mother’s had two doses of AZ and has been fine, same with both parents in law.

Had my second jab yesterday, AZ again; nowhere near as bad as the first, feel a wee bit 'spaced' and fluish, but nothing bad. Arm aches a fair bit more this time though, which is odd...
