Someone I know who worked here for thirty years, had a stroke yesterday,went into hospital, can't see his family, may never see them again.
Inhumane, needless rules means his son, a good friend of mine may never see his father again, has no communication with him.
We seem to have needlessly created a form of purgatory as a byproduct of our pretence that this virus is a serious threat to our society.

Two big male coppers, manhandling quite roughly a female protestor, in the age of social media and camera phones, is above and beyond utter stupidity.
There was a lockdown protest in Dublin a few weeks ago, where a scumbag fired a firework at the Garda, injuring one fairly badly. Thankfully, the police did not react. They simply dispersed the crowd as peacefully as possible. Over the next couple of days, they trawled the CCTV footage etc, and invited “suspects” to attend a local station for interview. Dozens were arrested and charged. Those who didn’t attend voluntarily, had a visit in the early hours. Good policing.
The Met chose last century tactics in the era of social media and wokeism! They need a shakeup.

Then leave her alone. It’s very simple it’s like ignoring a naughty child. If the police can’t work out that they’re being baited then more fool them. As for who would be a copper these days i would reckon it’s the same mix of civic minded people mixed with the same bunch of sociopaths, bully boys etc as it has always been.

You miss the point, the virus is spreading wildly the other side of the channel & people are dying, these arrogant ignorant people just want to glorify themselves at the expense of other people, when the virus starts spreading again which it will, then I hope these idiots are proud of themselves, maybe they should be forced to visit an ICU without a mask!

If people assemble then they spread virus...so the justification goes.
If they assemble and refuse to disperse, what is the solution other than physical?

I must be an idiot because i will defend anyones right to protest peacefully. The media should report on these events because it is the UK not Russia or China or even Burma. People over the last year have had their basic rights removed without any complaints because the Media has not allowed an even debate or discussion but has acted as the mouthpiece of the state.

But a group of people assembling in contravention of covid law is news!
These people have spent the past year blindly following the arbitrary diktats of Boris now find themselves hoist by their own petard.
Take them anyway or preferably take the law away.
That they wear the stupid mask whilst breaking the law says it all.
