I've seen that our friend Rowland has had a nibble at the metering wheel on the drill.
Obviously need to change it, is it a big job and how do I go about it?

Remove the whole meeting mechanism from the hopper and do the job in comfort at the workbench, it's not difficult. Find an exploded parts diagram, I've done it a few times, see if I have pictures.

Used to do that with the piggy back drill.
But I leave the door shut on the kv tine drill, or it'll get wiped out when unpack the drill and forget about the flap

Done the same thing here - going to try 3d printing one ! - will try at the weekend a new one is about £50 so think I print it for a tenner or so !
Dint know a thing about 3d printing at all but do know that the type of plastic on metering rotors does make a big difference to wear etc on them there were some non genuine copies floating round at one point that wore like hell when metering fert and were very brittle when cracked when metering beans / peas. For the same reason a fert resistant rotor is made of a different material to a grain only rotor same shape etc just different material and price!!
