How to increase road speed on 40 series

Upping the engine revs will allow them to do 50K. It's not advisable as it's very not good for the engine...I had an 8240 that did 50K simply because it revved too much when I got it. At the thought of a dropped valve mangling a piston and destroying the head or much worse, the high speed stop screw was duly put back where it was meant to be...!

Don’t bother, the newest 40 series are now 25 years old, they don’t have front axle brakes or suspension and tractor speed limit is 40kph anyway.

so sit back turn the wireless up and enjoy the view as you trundle along. Unless your doing mega road miles the time saved wil be negligible anyway

I have one on 20.8s nips on rightly but even with them half flat and 900kg big pack being dragged along behind it would be a whole pile less comfortable tbh

My standard 7840 SLE on 480/70/38 revs to 2350rpm will do 47k maybe a touch more, no bother, that's real speed on the GPS, not just the dash.

Doesn't take much bigger wheels to get 50k out of them, I wouldn't let the engine go much more than 2350-2400rpm personally.

I've a T6 and a T7 that are both 40k and the old 78 wipes both of them for road speed. 😎😎

SL and sle were both faster than meant to be(40k). Maybe the op was driving a 30k model . Sle is basically 50k with os tyres. Range command 40k is 40k and 50k is 50k. If you want to do 40k up a hill then just use an old Same or Fiat.🤭
