Hrn tractors kubota.

Nice to see other brands pushin in
The way jd have treated their good dealers they deserve to lose sales , their is a huge differance to selling tractors in America compared to the uk/ Irish market. I’d say they forgot that those good dealers who lost the jd agency wouldn’t take on a new brand. A lot of jd customers will stay with the dealer rather than staying with the brand.

Has always been the case. Had a dealer, McMillans of Devizes, Wilts who was JD for many years selling the famous cast iron 2 cylinders etc after the war. When the big JD push came in the seventies when the Ford and MF plants were crippled by strikes they were cast aside.

Could well have done but with Kubota owning Kv that’s a far bigger prize.
Can’t think of anyone that’s gone on to great things by being awarded a Duetz franchise.
A big jd dealer who was dropped here took on deutz and is selling loads of tractors. He kept his customers , the jd dealer who opened a new branch in the area has since closed it again losing a lot of money.

There's a new Kubota dealer in this area and if my experience of getting quotes for parts is any indication, I think I'd avoid the brand.

Rudeness on the phone and no reply to my emailed request for a pro forma for parts. I even quoted the part number!

A similar request to a company in England got me a reply within a couple of hours, a copy of an exploded diagram of the machine, and a full pro forma. But, hey ho, this is the Highlands and who needs customers anyway?

Big customers like contractors that have had top service from a dealer is highly likely to stay with that dealer. If ur out at night and the rain is comin and u break down iys the back up that counts and not what badge is on the bonnet

I think a lot of big contractors go wherever they can get the finance don't they? That may be with the dealer of course but if you're in with JD finance for example, it might be better/necessary to stay with them.

But surely that’s the dealer at fault not the brand

Presumably you'd avoid all New Holland as well?

if the dealer uses the same software as we do , maybe the quote is in the spam folder ,bit of pain , but no way around it apparently
