Any ideas what I could spray on a silage trailer to protect and make washing easier after it’s been used for muck carting for a week? I said silage trailer because I think red tractor wants different trailers to be used for grain

oil or diesel
Good idea, that should stop the Red Tractor inspectors from smelling the shite you shouldn't have been carting with your grain trailer.
I'm no fan of RT or any other lawmaker but sometimes you have to think these rules are there for a good reason. Ask the customer if they mind you carting shite in the trailer you use for grain.

Just spray some neat TFR on the trailer when you're done and steam clean it off.

Unless the rules have changed very recently it's ok to use a grain trailer if cleaned and disinfected using a food grade sanitiser (which is actually quite cheap). Just make sure you record when it was done.

Excuse my ignorance but what’s TFR

Don't see the problem if it's washed afterwards 🤷

I genuinely don't see a problem using a trailer for muck and grain

Certainly not ….grain trailer has never seen a drop of muck….ever…
Neighbour or distant friend / relative lends me a good dumper trailer for leading muck out.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
