I don’t think you are barking up the wrong tree at all.
I think this is a good idea.
Easy, simple access credit at competitive rate secured against business assets, not necessarily land, is lacking in the Ag sector.
The huge up take of the Bounce back loan on this forum has shown this.
I have been involved in other business where financed working capital is the norm to enable growth investment.
I would be approaching the likes of Close Bros to establish relationships and deals rather than the Banks or the standard bearer, the AMC.

Ms Owen has made the mistake of having an avatar like you would on Linked-in or Facebook, which is possibly her but deflects the subject. I’m suspicious of her ‘I grew up on a farm’ credential because she clearly doesn’t understand how the crap misogynistic perceptions operate. That’s you @Clive. Why PM?

I can assure you @Doc that this is me. I am of the preference to have a face to a name so I rolled with it. Does my picture deflect, really? My step-dad was a farmer for Sam Williams, Frodsham. That was a long time ago now though. My latest role brought me back to the Ag world, only now i've left i'm exploring new opportunities that can be of real help.

@Clive can at least verify i'm female since we had a good chat this afternoon ;)

Not if you go on the dairy farming thread all they
talk about is the milk price ,who's got the biggest parlour
and how to get rid of slurry 🤐
I have indeed checked it out (briefly).... all the talk about big parlours vs small parlours, and well your average size ones, and who's dumping the biggest load (of milk) lately and so on... needless to say I ended up here with you guys/gals who are proving to be an insightful yet funny bunch (y)

Ms Owen,
Apologies, I don’t doubt your credentials or anything you have posted. Indeed, I think you may well be someone who could benefit many on here and I have found many TFF members are overly suspicious of the nature of money lending in that it is too one sided.
I was more having a light hearted dig at Clive.
Clive is a smart bloke and is well positioned to give you a good platform. He has posted several times before about the symbiosis of financial relationships that make the world go round.
Let’s face it, we are about to enter a recession, fortune favours the brave and those with a long game.
