15mm here so far since last night and rain forecast for the next 7-10 days! Goes from one extreme to the other :banghead:, crops are looking better for a drink already though.
Is it ever going to ever going to warm up though? Just had to light the fire again, it’s bloody freezing!

9mm March 7mm April of which 6mm was on the 29th.
Most showers never covered the bottom of the rain gauge.
Showers today but not much. Due to turn out of the north east tonight so should see more hopefully. As the saying goes rain in May makes Hay so live in hope. Sahara type soil conditions here plus sub zero nights and cold winds slowed everything down. Never seen it so dry in 37 years or so cold consistently at this time of year. Positive is very low disease so with heat and some rain maybe good yields where well rooted.

Just over 6mm or quarter of an inch in old money!
Very cold strong wind. However if it was to warm up now we have had enough rain to make the grass grow as we have had 16 mm so far this month following 3 mm in April and 22 mm in March.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
