Isuzu Dmax help

I’m in the process of looking for a second hand 2.5 Isuzu dmax. I have found a lovely 2015 example with full service history and 45k on the clock. The only slight concern I have is that on cold start the oil pressure light took around 3 seconds to go out and wasn’t instant as it fired. Is this something to be concerned about or am
I being overly cautious. The oil level was at the top mark and looked clean. The truck drove well with plenty of power. Once warm the light went out instantly

any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Chassis and DPF / sump filling issues be more concerning than oil pressure light..

Do you drive short trips ? I was told by Isuzu UK that my DPF problems were down to me doing short journeys of 20 miles or so and to check the oil level daily. Sold it after 6 months after it was spending more time in the garage than on the road.

You have to drive them like you stole it, saying that I got sick of changing oil on my dmax as it filled up. Got an amarok now if I drove it like I stole it I would be in jail.....it's bloody quick.😁

3 secs for oil light to go out on cold start up is perfectly normal in my experience. The first thing I’d do upon purchase is get someone who knows what they’re doing to gut the dpf and map that and the egr out, keep the oil changed and the engine shouldn’t give you much bother. After that get the chassis and underside cleaned and treated. The bodywork is bad for rusting through from behind, but if youve caught it early then it shouldn’t be a problem. Specific areas to look at are on the rear quarter panel mainly behind the back wheels, but also to the top of the arch, sills are prone as well below the back doors. Other than that they make pretty reliable pickups, very stable for towing.

sorry to hijack, but what does it cost to sort dpf out once it's regularly over filling engine oil, I've also got constant heat coming into the footwells' once the engine is up to temperature
