Good work there
Funnily enough here’s a pic of one of the guys just before starting the lift, handy sized van to keep his toolsOne question @aled1590 , did you have the A-Team theme music playing all day?
Must have been tricky to get him over, what with Covid and "I ain't getting on no plane" restrictions.Funnily enough here’s a pic of one of the guys just before starting the lift, handy sized van to keep his tools View attachment 938607
Might have to put it on YouTube or Facebook and put a link here. Can I post videos on this? I have a short clip of us jacking it up
@aled1590 That is inspired. No waste, few materials, unbelieveably little time and disruption - you should be proud, it was a great decision and from the planning you did relatively low risk. Just so quick, that's what I can't get over.View attachment 937848View attachment 937849View attachment 937850View attachment 937851
Then the cows came in, so half the shed is slightly sloping to the front but you barely notice it. Around 60 cattle in there now, its made feeding mucking out and bedding so much easier now, and they seem much happier than before (they were in 3 different sheds that was hard work)View attachment 937854View attachment 937857View attachment 937859View attachment 937861View attachment 937862View attachment 937864View attachment 937866View attachment 937868
Split into 6 pens. 15ft feed passage, 12ft scrape and 18ft bedded. It’s taken a lot of work, most days spent there from October until now. I can now spend some time over the weekend with my family!
Thanks means a lot that! We just saw an opportunity of up cycling something that wasn’t fit for purpose any longer with machinery gone bigger and methods of feeding has changed since the 70/80’s. We had applied for the spg welsh grant for a brand new cattle shed and manure store but pulled out once we knew the true cost of the build. So yes all in all very pleased in how it turned out@aled1590 That is inspired.
