Whos bought a new one? The 4 cylinder with the new style cab and engine boost.

Would love to hear the good points and the bad.

Proper mixed farming, want it to run double mowers, 3m combi, 4 furrow plough but also be nimble enough around the yards with a straw blower on the odd occasion.

Would that not be puttin her to the limit with double mowers? For those jobs id be wantin the 155

I run mowers on a T6.165 NH at the mo which is what the JD would replace. I only ever really cut light cuts, operating a multicut system so never stupidly heavy crops through the mowers.
The bigger 6 cylinder JDs just seem too big and numb around the yards.

Got one in may chosen for similar reasons to yourself.

It is nicely laid out inside, quiet comfortable etc although the seat doesn’t spin that far and could do with going further back.

For a modern tractor it is quite lively and seems to pull well for its size.

Its quite light on the front so does often require a weight block.

Have a command quad one but the shifts between the gears are quite jerky for some reason. They have tried some new valves but it’s made next to no difference.

It has an auto clutch which reverts to on everytime you start the tractor, great on a round baler but awful around the yard and hitching up.

I had a 6140M on loan from the dealer while they did warranty work on my 6130R. It had electric spools and power quad gearbox. Engine was good and drove my 27m3 diet feeder fine. The shuttle has no neutral position . I don't know if this is a new feature on this range but we didn't like that part of it. Had to get the manual out to work out how to alter the spool flow rates but it was simple when you knew how to,do it. Never did find the hour clock in it.
It was handy around the yard with the feeder wagon on, no different to my 6130R and better than my 6145R.

Do you not have to push the shuttle away from you to engage neutral?

Would you go for a command quad again or would you instead go for an auto quad?

The shuttle was changed to add the forward reverse button on the joystick I think.

Not sure what I would choose now maybe price the auto power version. Ours is the top spec one with the armrest and I would miss having that. If it wasn’t for the gearbox issues it would be a great tractor, but the changes especially 3-4 are awful. So make sure you get a demo
