I have a 1995 John Deere 6600. Its works perfectly but it goes into park with no resistance and park is now not working on it. Any idea what may be the problem?

If it's the same as smaller 6000 series, it might just be a bit of rod twixt the cab and the gear box. No big deal to the right man!
Or it might be the park gear is knacked.....and apparently it's about the last thing you get to stripping it down.
fingers crossed for you.

As above, check the parking linkage before you split the tractor

I knackered my park gear by pulling in the puh ,with 17 heavy silage bales on a trailer, whilst looking down hill.

However I believe roll pin 14 in the above diagram can shear giving the op's symptoms.

Looks like later models had an upgrade with an extra roll pin, inside a roll pin.

As above, I’ve experienced the sheared roll pin and feared the worst, only to find aside from my own labour the cost was pennies for a new roll pin, which I did double up, did all the others while in there too for good measure.

Evening, could you see the sheared roll pin though the side of the chassis near the right hand wheel if so was it easy to get to , mine just started having not much resistance going into park

If it has got right hand reverser lever with park position, check spring on end of lever in cab. Remove plastic side and front panel for access.

Hi access and visibility was very poor without the cab tilted, we didn’t even try and look, just tilted the cab and then removed the side casing of the housing that has the levers/roll pins in, this was easier with one person on top of the gearbox casting and one underneath, we then doubled all the roll pins up for peace of mind after replacing the broken one.

Not really, they pivot over nicely, make sure throttle and clutch cable and pto and hitch cable are disconnected, remove big bolts under the cab Matt few other odds and sods, couple of strong bars in the pivot holes and then we tilted it over with a block and tackle and loader tractor easy enough.
