How small?ha ha jack i know ,but ony have a small acreage,an after this year a smaller budget
RtkHow small?
We're drilling 1200 acres on sf1 very happy with it .
We've tried sf2 before with the 3000 dome and didn't see enough difference to want to pay for it .
We're drilling on sf3 yesterday and today did half a field on sf1 then onto sf3 so will see if it's any much better
Iv never tried anything other than rtk so I don’t no but rtk is goodha ha jack i know ,but ony have a small acreage,an after this year a smaller budget
You can keep typing RTK as much as you want but some folk don't want need or could justify the costs involved. Sf3 is supposed to be 4cm now RTK will be very good but not that much better

We’re drilling on sf1 with no problems .
For me I can see where RTK will come into it's own for veg etc everything is worked down level and firm .I admit I'm also writing RTK everywhere repeatedly but I don't agree with the "not much better" claim. But farmers have different views, different accuracy expectations and some are very happy with the less accurate options. I'm one who cannot understand how anyone can accept anything less than RTK for drilling.
It is just unfortunate that RTK is considered expensive. With a bit of effort one can build a private base and no or minor annual costs after the first investment. Pays back in a couple of years and gives instant absolute accuracy in addition to sub inch pass-to-pass accuracy.
No problems means I’m happy with the accuracy . If your not use RTK . I never said it was as good but it’s good enough for me . Simples .Please define "no problems"? I'm sure you manage with SF1 when you say so. So do many farmers manage without SF1, without any auto-steer systems. If you only use SF1, you must keep watching after drift, not only when starting the field but also during the work. I'd consider that a significant stress that can be avoided. Perhaps more convenient than driving manually, not sure.
I'm actually glad if people find other than RTK sufficient but I don't like it when signals like SF1 or SF3 are claimed to be "almost like RTK".
