In the absence of pics of the tractor in question, here's a couple to give @76masseyman a 'fix'........

Looks like the 4955 was 'fresh out of the box' - no reg plate
In those days, tractors were delivered in July so they were ready for the rape harvest but not registered 'til the first of August to get the new letter.
