Kuhn Espro 4 & 6 metre

Hello , anyone experience of Kuhn’s espro drill ?

Just purchased a 4m, drilled osr with it so far so good, im new to trailed drills ran a 3metre combi for years, looking forward to getting going on wheats and barleys.

First one I've seen with more than discs for cultivation our dealer was running a 4m demo with 2 rows of discs and nowt else

It was Kuhn drill that they used for shows I think a tyre packer on the front is a more popular option

They say it’s an easy drill to pull , do you find this? Looking to replace a combi , we have a very mixed soil type that can ph where we need but some is just getting overworked

Got 290hp in front of this and it makes it work on banks when you are moving a lot of soil with the cultivation discs, just tickling the top you can fly along

most of those trailed disc drills are pretty much the same, each 1 will probably have a slightly different coulter setup but what difference can you get with 2 rows of working discs, packer tyres, coulters and following harrow

Yes got a joystick mounted by gearlever and running drill through kverneland tellus screen from my fert spreader, i had to get software updated as wouldn't calibrate with decimal point to begin with so wasn't accurate enough for osr, but all sorted now.

How does the 190 cope with pulling it?

Its only a T6.180 so only about 150 hp as not boosting on drawbar work, goes well on min tilled stuff upto 14k struggles on ploughing about 10k and not really heavy enough on the really steep bits for grip, but to be fair not an easy season and its coping, will think about getting it chipped to the 200hp mark in the future.

Not all the buttons have a function so not as confusing as it looks, its a standard isobus joystick so has more buttons than needed for drill.

You do realise the command grip (tractor joystick) is an ISOBUS joystick too? you could just program that instead. (That's what the little squares on all the buttons mean on the newer ones)
