KYMCO quad bikes

Looking for a small quad bike for arable work. Will only be going round field hedges with a sprayer on the back rack or occasionally will put slug pellets on . anyone had experience of KYMCO They have a 300 2wd for around £4700. Or would a 6 year old Honda 420 be more reliable.

Not much personal experience with them, they started so show up here maybe 15 years ago but never really took off, they were just a cheap Chinese made quad and not all that reliable, plus dealer support was poor. Fast forward to now I doubt they've changed much, but you never know.

You can't go wrong with a honda though. 6 year old 420 would be a very solid and capable machine.

Maybe best to look at some of the 2nd grade quads like a cf moto or maybe a can-am.

Got a kymco here
Although a 550 rather than a 300
Wanted 4wd and powersteering
Tried a 300 and was impressed where it went with just 2wd
Quad going well Although only had it 3 months
Was an ex demo
Time will tell
2 Yr warranty and local dealer

I would argue that Can-Am aren't 2nd grade. Right up there and/or better than the household names, atleast in the states.

I would argue that Can-Am aren't 2nd grade. Right up there and/or better than the household names, atleast in the states.

Had a Can-Am as a loan bike from Daltons, nothing wrong with it, however it was the size of a tank! No idea why anyone would want a quad bike that big.

I am still pootling around on a Honda big red 300 (just about on it's last legs), but size wise it's ideal, just had a trailer on it with fencing kit, other than that usually either electric fencing or checking the stock, no need for a small truck!

Had a Can-Am as a loan bike from Daltons, nothing wrong with it, however it was the size of a tank! No idea why anyone would want a quad bike that big.

They do bigger ones and little ones, the same as most other makes.
