Land Partnership Opportunity

Someone I know who owns a large farm, which currently mainly grows cereals, is interested in diversifying his output. Particularly wrt growing a wider range of vegetables, dairy production, hops for beer, etc., and is interested in arranging some kind of profit-sharing relationship with people who are highly motivated to get into farming (especially if they are also interested in food processing) who possess the ability to extent the variety of to the farm's output.

I imagine this could be a great opportunity for aspiring farmers who don't own any land, especially for farm workers who don't have land but are interested going beyond working for a salary and wish to establish their own business where they have more autonomy and control.

Can anyone offer an ideas regarding where the best places are to advertise this opportunity to the kind of people who'd be interested in taking it up?

Well I'd definitely like to read about posts from people who have a bit of experience as a farm worker but want to get more autonomy over their livelihood but don't have land and are looking for some kind of profit sharing land partnership arrangement.

Can anyone point me to particular threads in this forum where people discuss these kind of land partnerships?

There is a scheme partnering aspiring farmers with those who want to retire but it is so badly publicised I doubt if I could find a link! Oh, hear it is, but apparently only for Scotland. Wonders never cease!

I was invited to send in my details, did so, and promptly heard nothing more! Sorry, I give no quarter to those who start these schemes but don't follow through. It smacks of targeting land/opportunities to the select few. The fact that you have to advertise here to find anything out really speaks for itself.

Forget the Hops. Massive investment needed to get into growing and returns hugely volatile. I doubt in the coming year many will bother to harvest them. Breweries and pubs are really struggling.

Good luck. From what I’ve seen you will get more dreamers than realists....

Maybe it's the landowner that is the dreamer? Looking at the 'brief', a realist operator coming in would need to set some hard rules for managing the place and growing a successful business.
I'm sure that the OP is intending well, but perhaps doesn't fully appreciate the complexity of the vision they have given.
@jmc123 roughly what size is the land base and where is it located?
