Are you just looking for a laser level and staff, or a machine control system to mount on the trencher?

just looking for a laser level and staff. I will give Laser levels online a call and see what they recommend.

thanks

Sorry, a little late in seeing this thread.

You may have already spoken to one of out ream but if not, here are a couple of options if you are simply after a laser level, detector tripod and staff package. However, we do also have magnetic detectors for plant.

This forum is sometimes a little funny about us posting links (i guess to stop spam) - so you may need to locate the products on our site by name.

1) Fukuda FRE-205 Duo Kit:

The Fukuda FRE-205 is a fully self levelling, has an accuracy of ±3mm @ 30m, rechargeable, horizontal only laser level with a range of 500m diameter. It also has the ability to set slopes and gradients in both the X & Y axis.
It is mainly aimed at the general ground worker but also includes a small cross line laser for internal applications. This can also be removed from the kit.

The Fukuda FRE-205 can also be configured to have the upgraded FRD800 Detector (mm / inch scale).

The direct link for this configuration is:

2) Spectra LL300N Premium Kit :

[LINK REMOVED]

The first products listed is made by Fukuda which is a mid-range laser brand like Stanley and Dewalt. Spectra is a premium brand laser like Stabila, Lecia and Topcon.

The Spectra LL300N is their heavy duty long range ground workers laser.

It is a full self levelling red beam rotary laser which levels on the horizontal. It is accurate to ±2.2 mm at 30 m, range of 500m, has an IP rating of IP66 (Dust tight / Protected against powerful jets of water)
and a 5 year warranty. It is rechargeable but can also run on alkaline batteries.

It can set slopes and gradients in both the X & Y axis, but you need to add the RC601 remote control to the order to unlock these features.

The Spectra LL300N can also be configured to have the upgraded HL450 Detector (mm / inch scale).

The direct link for this configuration is:

I hope this helps.

Hi we use an aft trencher on the farm and have a Fukuda FRE207 level with a magnet receiver FRD360 mounted on the trencher you dont need the in cab display as you can see the reciever from the cab. We replaced the round tube on the trencher with 4x2 box section all works well.It is best to use a magnetic receiver so you can adjust it easily at the start of the trench, it must have a security chain as it can fall of if the trencher jumps. The level must have have grade control we are on very flat land and lay most drains 1 in 200 .5% grade or less. I dont think we could lay drain without this setup we have layed over 2.5 kilometres this autumn. I hope thats helpful let me know if you want any more details
