Lifting a parked lock car by putting pallet underneath it?

Did it years ago when a brand new gold/black 1600E Capri was parked across our entrance. Moved it with an electric sideshift about 100 yards.

no visible damage but modern cars are covered in plastic. Few blankets on the pallet should do the trick.

Personally I wouldn't do it, leave notes on the car and make it obvious that they shouldn't park there.

Lifting a car on pallets would most likely do damage... bmws have a cooler underneath, all new cars have plastic guards front to back which will 100% crack, bend the exhaust mountings?

nearly did it the other day. if you look under there is so much stuff protruding something is bound to get bent or damaged.

not sure on the legality of it either.

either leave a note or if you are really angry just take the side out and shove it in the hedge, make it look like a hit and run and look innocent if anyone asked if you saw anything!

cars are really not designed to be lifted on pallet forks, unless its a scap car do do it, something will surely bend, break, snap or deform is any expensive way. If you are going to pick up a car with pallet forks you really want to jack up all 4 wheels and slide a car size pallet under it....

My dad lifted a camper staying at the farm's car up with JCB and a chain by the rear towing eye or tow bar (cant remember which) because their exhaust had fallen off and they reversed and it folded over lifting the back wheels off the ground, problem being it was a bmw...... the next BIGGER problem was the car snapping in half, first alerted by all 4 doors flying open at the same time so what ever you do dont do that!

Stick an Invoice for a lot of money on it for the cost of your time wasted by not being able to use the entrance. Might stop it being parked in another gateway. probably not though with the selfish people of today.

Leave an angry note on the windscreen ? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
What next, restrict then to only 5 cucumber sandwiches for tea ?
Deary me, this forum.

Stuff a rag in the petrol tank, set fire to it, weigh what's left in, sweep up any ash that's left on the ground, take it round to their house, scatter it round the bedroom, chainsaw their faces off, and don't forget to trample the gladioli on the way out.(y)
