So now it's not just the UCL that is banning beef, Cambridge University have jumped on the band wagon too, following the advice of their Professor of Conservation Science.
Is this a step too far for a university that not only has it's own farms and agricultural department, but is also responsible for training vets and nutritionists. They are probably the landlord to a good number of livestock farmers around the country too!

Well, the NFU and AHDB have both had 6 weeks notice to work on this since UCL announced their ban.

Surely there is an NFU or AHDB person on here who can post for us their student-focussed briefing sheet on the environmental benefits of red meat production in the UK, so that we can all copy it and give to our sprogs as they head back to Uni ?

I'd tell mine directly, but I think i'm preaching to the converted.

We will be covering this sort of thing in Sustainable Ag anyway.

Yes they will be along in a couple of weeks missing the boat once again as the story dies down and another section of the public believe the lies as no one corrected them fast enough, then post up a infograph on their own websites telling us how good a job they are doing for us......

It is only two weeks now until the Animal Rebellion protests kick off in London. Thousands of students will be swept along in this.

If I had the resources of the NFU and AHDB I would be getting every Uni in London leaflet dropped before October 7; the benefits of red meat on one side, the lies told by vegans on the other.
