From this I can just tell that you are office based without any practical experience whatsoever. l know we are still restricted somewhat with Covid but you really need to get out more.
Royal Cornwall Show (one of those irrelevant County Shows to you) attracts around 125,000 people over 3 days from a county with a population of about 550,000. It is one of the most agriculturally focussed shows in the country. It’s so good even they Debn boys come down to support it 👍
One thing that I can assure it is that it will have a longevity and use that far exceeds Cereals (in its current format)

Maybe you should do a bit more research before settling upon your list.
isn't that what he's trying to do? :scratchhead:

Royal Cornwall is on a par with Royal Welsh in that respect I would say

I have spoken to Royal Cornwall and 3 Counties and neither are interested in farmers attending. Not being posh, just looking for the shows that actually want farmers to attend as opposed to those that really want the general public to attend.

This was also a UK question - the international shows is a whole other thread!

Since I lived in Cornwall I know well about the show, but they have ZERO interest in attracting farmers. I know this because they have told me this. They want to attract the public. I agree its a great show, but I'm interested in the shows that actively want farmers to attend, not general public shows.

Apologies, should have explained myself better in the first place.

Just clarify this for me please. You have spoken to Royal Cornwall Show (Chris Riddle is the man you want) and they have told you that they are NOT interested in farmers attending the show?
I find that incredible and very hard to believe.
Have I got the wrong end of the stick here or are you smoking something strange? 🤣

Yep - not him mind. They want the general public to attend. That's how they get 125k people to attend. The money is made from the public. Not sure why you find that so hard to believe. Its the same tune from all the regional shows. The public bring in the cash.

So I'm interested in shows where farmers are in the majority of the attendees.

I think we are at crossed purposes here and it may be the way the question is being asked.
I cannot believe that RCS DO NOT want farmers to attend. There would be no show to draw the public in with without farmers.
Perhaps I should give them a call and tell them that as they don’t want me I shall cancel my subscription.

I'm not saying they don't want farmers. I'm saying they want the public. They quite frankly don;t care if farmers come as attendees. The farmers provide the stands and the event - they aren't the key attendee's. The public are. There are what 10k farmers attending and 115k of the public?
