What about checking the voltage/current at the trigger wire when the key is turned? Better done with a test bulb(preferably something like a 55w halogen rather than a multimeter).

Starter is triggered via the engine ecu. so best not hook a test bulb up to the trigger wire on the starter :X3:

look carefully on the fuse board, see if any of the tracks are burnt out, check them battery terminals and the maga fuse connections next to battery and the earth to chassis and earth to engine.

try some new relays for the starter and safety start in the fuse board.

did you put some decent ends on the small starter motor relay wires don by the starter its self they often break.

When it does this non starting is the LED display lit up for the gear selection?? if not look in the fuse board and find multi pin plug labeled H, wire in there burns out loosing power to trans ECU and then it wont start.

Tried that swapped it with one from another manitou but appreciate your help

First just try turning ignition on and waiting 2 or 3 seconds before starting, they do sometimes not start anyway if you just bang the key right round to start. takes a second or 2 for the ecu to kick in i think, so might not be anything wrong with it just your trying to rush it.

if powershift model is the LED panel for gears lit up? if not the pin in the PCB board that supply's the power to trany ECU likes to corrode. Also rats like to chew the wires off the ECU wiring loom plug! you will have to short starter out to run it and lift the boom to access the ECU though.
I have this exact problem, not starting but LED panel for gears not lighting up. Can you tell me which pin is it that I should be looking at on the PCB board?!

Thanks, pulled that plug and it looks clean and no corrosion. The LED panel gives a quick flash on when you turn the key on, but then nothing (all the other load sensor lights flash, and usual beep etc). I did notice the LED flashing sometimes when you went over rough ground, so seems like a bad connection somewhere. Any other clues?

Recheck that pin. When they get hot it melts a little bit of the plastic over the pin so you need to scrap the pin with a knife or some sandpaper etc.

Transmission fuse if F8 off the top of my head so look at that.

Front right hand corner of cab from out side, find the transmission ECU and see if something chewed the wires off the plug, rats like to sit there and do that😂
