Mchale f5500 or kuhn fb3130?

Anybody any experience with both? On paper very similar balers, kuhn works out less with a drawbar on for the wrapper and mchale don't make a drawbar any more [emoji85]

Run a 5500. Dead spot in the reel is a pain. Had a mp130 and d bad it's the older khun I would edge it ahead sightly. I bought the mchale as it was local and man easy to deal with still a good baler and I'm happy enough but would go khun next.

Does yours have the camless pickup?

no, and now u mention it, that is another weak link as i have relaced a few role pins in it too which is a pain to do when it al ready has a slip clutch for the reel why does it need role pins too.

not sure what the kuhn has in safe systems

Not too sure reel wise but do know it has hydraulic rotor disengage so can stop the rotor spinning net the part bale and chuck it out moving on from a welger think the mchale is very similar to what I have now pick up wise apart from camless and 5 tine bars

the mchale is a great machine, most say better than the welgar it copied, other say not but not too many.
At a time i would have been a krone only man but not so much now, i would give any a chance at one time mchake had the reliablity above other roller balers. Now i think other have caught up and in some areas over taken them but time will tell. very little will beat a fusion for output and compactness which is helping mchale to hold their position in sales

Father in law has run a f560 and 2 fusions, in the last 10 years or so, never had a bother with them, my biggest problem is the drawbar, I pull wrapper behind, mchale won't supply one any more, however the price I have for the khun is cheaper and Includes a drawbar kit

don’t know about the electrics but I thought the 35 was a more beefed up version of the 30, extra density and the like!

The 35 seems to be the same baler as the 30 couple if extras bolted to like auto greasing more knives etc, be like the f5500 to the f5600, thats the way I've seen it anyway, going to look at a 3130 and 3135 tomorrow as haven't seen anything of them before

The 3130 might have yellow wheels!

Nothing between Welger and McHale over the last ten years really,I would favour welger just for the cam less reel.But times change and Kuhn will be top of my list next time,too many changes on the welger for my liking.
