Hi I have restoration project and looking for some parts, its a MF1800 artic an earlier version of the MF1505 / MF1805 .
Does anyone know of any machines being broken for spares as have lots of parts missing. Seems a shame to scrap as think it maybe the only one MF brought to the UK

Give Doug Portishead a ring
I've no number for him but somebody on here might know it

I do have his number which is in an old book but as usual cant find it !!!

We had a MF1805 for a few years in the 90's. Bought from Cambridge but had been on a N Lincs farm. We bought spares from Pocock's near Shaftesbury, Dorset. They imported secondhand bits from the US. CAT V8 engine eventually died and we sold the tractor to an employee of Pallisers of Hereford who was going to restore it. http://www.pocock-tractorsupplies.co.uk/used_parts.html

That looks a labour of love. Think you would be better going to the states and buying one in one piece and shipping back, I am certain it would be a cheaper option
Heres one sold last month in Illinois
sadly i agree with this post,

Jesus thats one thing thats really come along, gearboxes cant imagine operating this setup all day now ha ha!! (pic taken from add above)

Drop a cummins 855 into it
Did think about a Cummins 903 or a Perkins 640 as have a few about or a L10 and twin splitter, but wanted to try and keep it original
Do you have any history on the tractor ?

There were a couple of 1805’s in Lincolnshire, but not seen an 1800.
We are at Coventry and my late father used to help with MF field test so had the chance to buy a few of the evaluation and workshop training machines. We ran the MF1800 till the gearbox failed then it got as a donor to keep our MF1505,s running.
Also got an ex field test MF1155 in the back of the barn which we ran for years.
Can't beat the sound of a V8 :)

I know where there is a complete & running 1505 with the 220hp CAT engine in it that would have likely been in the 1805
if you offer the man the right money am sure he would sell it. it hardly turns a wheel year after year.
Hi would be interested if you have the details Thanks
