Would the police have bothered to amass all that evidence against him if there intention was to pull the case, I’d imagine they’re just as frustrated by it, blame lies at crime prosecution services door I would think

Thats the answer right there: he's a police informant.

Spread the word about in the right ears that he's a 'grass', and he'll literally disappear...
Had very similar around here, nobody could understand how he got away with being caught so often. Everybody knew who had pinched whatever it was but as long as he kept informing he kept getting let off.
Several nasty things did eventually happen to him.

The country seems to be becoming lawless, the number of young people stabbed to death is terrible, and the police seem far more interested in offensive "tweets" or alleged child abuse years ago by celebrities. I think we need, not crime commissioners but each area to vote for the chief constable in their area, maybe then, the chief constables would align their priorities with the local population.
That is a great idea....vote for the chief constable/ inspector ...that would sharpen them up .
This time though the Police did all they could it is the CPS that has let them and us down .

friend of mine is in tactical responce,raided a pykie site,got loads of gear and some firearms that were hidden in the hedge row (had a grass on the inside)
All got thrown out of court,no proof the guns were theirs :mad::mad:
i've resorted to a big dog to warn me they're coming and my mates mossberg and webley & scott for the rest.
