Does beg the question if nitrogen quantities are easily saved with all these systems why are the manufacturers not publishing research about it. Trying to look onto a dribble bar with the grant and R and D into it is very poor.

How are you getting on with this now @Chips
It's been faultless, far less hassle than even a splash plate as it spreads perfectly even without adjustment what ever the thickness of slurry and hardly ever blocks due to bigger outlet .
However I have put in for a grant on a trailing shoe just because the grant is probably not going to be around for ever and if the mocha gets banned I would kick myself for not getting a TS on the grant .

Anyone in NI who has one but since upgraded to a DB or TS?
I would give a good home to an old one if the price want too sore.

Sure you'd only get till 2025 and you wouldn't be allowed it either
Sure I only spread a few loads of dirty water, they might make an exception........

I know one thing, i cant afford a new tanker c/w LESS nor to retrofit a DB to my old tanker. Cheaper to buy fertiliser or try that magic in a bag called Supersoil? Would hardly ever get a contractor to bother with one or two loads at a time.

Going to be a lot of tankers wrote off if LESS is foisted upon everyone. Interesting that the Moscha research states that they are not far behind LESS and if you take into consideration how the speed of spreading reduces tractor emissions then it is closer still.
Probably doesn't suit Gov though as there is no money involved in Moscha whereas LESS gets a bit more money sloshing around in the system.

How would forcing farmers to empty tanks when contractor comes in rather than spreading on needs-only basis and also scrapping unsuitable tankers have a positive environmental impact? Would spreading by LESS counteract this?

Just to report, we've had our Moscha spout for 3 years now and it's been flawless, still looks like new really.
Brother who runs it says it needs greased every time he uses it, or it won't move properly, but that's really just a standard maintenance thing he should do anyway.

The spread pattern is always good. Zero hassle. No thick edges.

Overall, very good value for money. We'll keep using it until they're banned, and probably for a while after too...

Why are they banning something that does a good job?
Not enough money to be made at them. The reasoning behind them is sound - they take in the cost of the whole operation. Shoes and dribble bars don't consider time in field, weight, etc.
I'd say that there needs to be some ears bent in order to get your product onto an approved list.
