Mounting a fert spreader on to a sands sprayer chassis.

After watching cab over pete s thread with great interest, and seeing a lot of older sands sprayers for sale cheap, I was thinking about mounting the fert spreader on a sprayer chassis. Advantages would be high clearance , floats and rowcrops and 4 wheel steer.
I would be interested to know, if anyone has done it and what are the drawbacks, is there enough weight on the back, is the hydro PTO powerful enough and getting 3 double acting spools? Any advice welcome.

Ring sands they would probably make a frame or know where there is one which would just bolt straight on. Many years ago I had a hilo Bateman with amazon fert spreader on top then changed to bredall k45 on a rb 15 Bateman which used to do all compound and nitram

You'd want a good controller for the PTO speed though a hydraulically or electrically powered one should be ok. KRM Bredal make decent sized bins for demounts.

I have a frame I may sell. Off a househam, has 3 point linkage and hydraulic PTO. A mounted spreader needs to be mounted as it would be on a tractor (not as it sits on the ground)
