Hiya Im a Film Location Manager. We are looking for a farm with a lovely house / manor, with a large flock of sheep and hopefully some other livestock, cattle, horses, goats ( but not essential ) set in lovely countryside, with barns, stables, argicultural machinery, and they also ask for specifically for an orchard. For a 2 week film shoot in early july. Very good rates paid.

I've a ram shackle farmhouse...ditto machinery...coupla nice cottages...not many sheep but as they're always out running about it looks more🤔

I do you good price no problem😗
Yeah, I'll second Spin's place as the location.

Plenty of 'extras' available for walk on parts......

.....mind you, I'm not sure the movie world is ready for Miss April 🤔

It sounds like the sort of place you are after will be lived in by a multi-millionaire non-farmer who pays a man to look after a few animals to make the place look nice.

These are the people you need to be talking to.

We might have something suitable locally that may be available. Sheep, cows, horses, geese, decent farm yard for parking etc and away from traffic noise.............. and a small orchard.

Have had several film companies on the farm over the years, it is good money so if you can provide what they are after it is worth it.
There's a bit of disruption but nothing much really, it's all quite fun too in an interesting way. Worth considering if you nearly have what they want as there is a great deal of poetic lisence involved.

Set some firm ground rules and enjoy the free lunches. Be ‘available’
Enjoy👍

Staying on a farm in Devon I was told about a neighbouring farmer who had let some land out to a film crew. He had said the money was alright, but couldn't abide actors, even though Catherine Zeta Jones was starring in it (he'd never heard of her). He'd been there when the crew were trying to get her mounted on a horse and had just lifted her into the saddle. At the end of the scene, he helped her to dismount. This went on for several days, after which he reckoned them actors weren't so bad after all. :)

Michael Douglas ended up mounting her.
