There is some talk locally of yearling mules prices crashing this past week around the country.

Anyone got any prices from their local mart?

Not that local to me but my neighbour went too Welshpool yesterday and came back with some mules that averaged £180. He said slightly down on last year

Trade for mule gimmers has been back over here, probably around £15 to £20. Suffolk/cheviot have held up to similar trade as last year however. I'm guessing that with high fat ewe prices this year the difference between cull values in the two might have something to do with this.

Same. It must be be the good summer cull trade that’s holding the job. I thought the lack of grass down south would have scuppered the breeders well and truly until late season when they’ll go mad. 🤷🏻‍♂️
I honestly thought lack of money and lack of grass would of pulled breeders back….culls have dropped as well and finished lambs aren’t exactly a good trade

UA sale Saturday just passed. I’m guessing would be back £10 on the year.
we were looking for lambs to run on and come into main flock next year. Plenty nice skinned lambs, middle to end of sellers lots we picked up for £110/hd average.
