Would recommend the Hunterian museum at the royal college of surgeons. Not everyone's cup of tea but we found it fascinating. Free but you need to book a time slot

Used to get to London as often as I could, always loved the buzz, just mooching around the west end was great fun , the contrast with home was incredible. Always enjoyed being in London, but appreciated home even more when I got back.
i was lucky enough to stay at the Farmers Club a few times, a real treat ! The biggest damp squib was the Wax museum Madame what’s it . Accept it’s going to be expensive , go with it and enjoy the trip. Central London pubs are great fun.

Been here since 2016, not bored of it yet. If you have the ability walk as much as possible and don't try and do more than two activities a day - just enjoy the city itself.

Cup of coffee in Marylebone or Mayfair is great for people watching. Operation Mincemeat the musical is on at the moment and was outstanding - entertaining but respectful retelling of the WW2 story.

yeah, I just walked in, asked them if it was OK as I hadn't booked, they said it was fine. If most people do book, it helps them to spread the flow of visitors, I think it started after Covid.
I think they also do it because while you’re booking your ‘free’ tickets, they can try to squeeze a donation out of you, and they can add you to their mailing list unless you opt out.
