New brand slurry mixer

Got a new brand slurry mixer the other day put it on today to try it but can't get the top link on as the hydraulic ram will not work anyone any ideas on what could be up?here's a few pictures to hopefully show what's up.

That’s only a single acting ram so you’ll have to put your spool in float and pull the headstock over yourself

As above, or put a chain on instead of a top link and lift on the arms with spool in float to extend the ram.

Agree. Remove the red cap and put a second hose on an make it a double acting ram

The ram nor its mounting point is strong enough for double acting service. It will then be power down which will easily bend the mounting point or the piston.

I did. Good job, just need twenty more to leave a nice even finish

Or bend the main frame tube when trying to push it through the crust

Drop those flimsy legs off and let the arms on down. I would say put into float and give the headstock a careful push with the loader, but that would exclude the suggestion above, which is the best so far.

A short ratchet strap would put it back.

Bit of a crap design because your going to leave it parked with the chrome showing in the future and it will eventually rust.

The Mixit is the only sensible way to build a slurry stirrer.

Tbh the dealer should have attached it to the tractor with you. If for no other reason to make sure the pto shaft is the correct length for the tractor. It is the dealers responsibility to make sure you can safely operate the machine No matter what it is.

Yeah be a phone call in the morning to the dealer to se what they say didn't even come with a instruction book to look at.

Are they actually cheaper ?Any idea who the dealer is for cumbria./ My stirrer needed the tube welded last year as it snapped and is a bit rattley and is looking worse for wear now

It is a legal requirement to supply an operators manual with any machinery new or secondhand. C’mon dealers sort it out.

It looks like it’s been designed to have 2 rams ?
