Can’t quite see as the pics seem blurry on my phone but isn’t it a Taro?Quite like this.
Yeah but look how little room there is in there…it would be like a straw rake4.5m,5m,6m and 7m
I can’t see the point of the extra expense of a ram on every coulter. I was really sceptical that the condor wouldn’t have enough downforce but we demoed it on some extreme tight and hard clay soil in late June that had been left fallow for drainage and it went in remarkably well.Horsch are just catching up with all the other manufacturers of drills around the world, Bourgault, Morris, Case, Seedhawk etc etc, in making a tine with hydraulic pressure control.
What will be a game changer, is if Horsch make it in the 4/6m size.
Picture doesn’t do it justice. You won’t get any more trash clearance than on that drill.Yeah but look how little room there is in there…it would be like a straw rake
Has to be similar money to the avatar of the same size surely? Tank and chassis must be almost identical. Funny you were saying in the autumn about a smaller machine - I imagine they will be popular.I can’t see the point of the extra expense of a ram on every coulter. will be interesting to see the price differences between the condor and the new Horsch.
I can crawl under my sprinter without touching any coulters on my back or sides. I very much doubt that’s possible with that thing. Having said that; I suspect the depth control/consistency is better on the virkar. Other tine drills with a gauge wheel (seed hawk, dale etc tend to have huge frames to create space to offset the room taken up by the wheel. It’s all just so crammed in on that picture. It would be interesting to see them together to be fair…Picture doesn’t do it justice. You won’t get any more trash clearance than on that drill.
I’d imagine it would be more money. Part sales on the avertar or any disc drill is a good earner. Putting a set of points on not so much.Has to be similar money to the avatar of the same size surely? You can walk under the virkar with out the tines touching your back or sides. Why crawl? Or does getting down and intimate with the soil make the seed grow better?I can crawl under my sprinter without touching any coulters on my back or sides. Think we have a new contender to replace the Triton thread…You can walk under the virkar with out the tines touching your back or sides. Why crawl? Or does getting down and intimate with the soil make the seed grow better?
Each tine has 75 cm clearance around it on 19 cm row spacing. And 1m on 25cm row spacing.
Don’t see many straw rakes with tines that far apart.
