Nice looking bin. What dimensions is it.
There’s a thing a bit like a fertiliser spreader disc which spins and flings the grain outwards as it drops through the top hatch. You obviously cannot heap it full, but what protects all the stuff in the roof from falling grain?

Without being too nosey how does its cost/ tonne compare with a shed with stirrer and drying?
Don’t know, we wanted a silo because it would feed straight into the feed mill, so didn’t price a shed.
Believe a silo is more tax efficient though if we can find a way to make a decent profit in the next few years!
It’s awash with eggs at the moment. Doesn’t stop these sort of consultants trying to pursuade new entrants to go into it so they can charge a fee for their advice though!Country is desperate for more eggs you will be right enough......

Love the view from the top video.
Excellent plan to fit a 20mm gatling gun to neutralise marauding thieves.
I like the big yellow bucket, we used to have an old bath or two laying about with a few hastily found bits of board wedged up the sides.
I have similar to this;I think it’s useless, you spend all that money on a grain silo and they give you a yellow tub you can’t open the tailgate over to fully empty the trailer!
This is what you need @DanielI think it’s useless, you spend all that money on a grain silo and they give you a yellow tub you can’t open the tailgate over to fully empty the trailer!
Trinity grain still use plywood panels on the two original pits, you drive over and then put them in place, many years ago when I took my first load up there in acten tonne trailer they didn't tell me the pit only holds a few tonnes, when the pit guy told me to tip the trailer I assumed he meant TIP the trailer, it took 20 minutes to shovel it all back to the pit,I like the big yellow bucket, we used to have an old bath or two laying about with a few hastily found bits of board wedged up the sides.
