New jacket for winter, ridgeline again??.

I've spent £3k+ outfitting me and my 2. That's betacraft trousers parkas and 2x pair of dedito boots each, plus base layers and fleeces as well. I've also provided hats and their choice of gloves.

We're outside on quads or in pens 10+hrs a day, whatever the weather. I expect my guys to get on and get the work done, so the least I can do I make sure they're as comfortable as possible doing so. It's all tax deductible anyway.

It's company property so I'll replace it free when it gets worn out. They're expected to maintain as necessary, but get given work time to do so. If/when they leave I get the gear back or they can buy it from me.
30 hours a day, 5 day week, 150 hours @ £15 / hour = £9000 Labour a month: must be several thousand head.

Just about to order a Kaiwaka Storm force Winter jacket, found one available in Ireland, not sure what size to go for. My current coat is XL but read on here kaiwaka sizes are generous?

Hi i’ve followed this thread with interest since it started. I’ve decided to go for a Betacraft of some description. I’m 6ft & 16stone, usual wear a XL, would only have a tee & rugby shirt as under lairs. How are people finding the sizes? Where’s the best price?

I'm a similar size and find XL perfect fit. Usually worn with a t shirt or t shirt and jumper.

I’ve two betacraft jackets. The first was the full waterproof one.

Had that 2 winters and it’s still perfect. Never get wet even looning about on the quad in a full storm.

This autumn I also bought the new one that’s a bit warmer and has a more fabric shell.

Again, very good other than couple points.

It loves to attract burs.

Secondly the chest pockets are the wrong way around. You can’t put your hands in to them to keep warm with out crossing your arms.

But both jackets are very good.

Did u order an receive? I am tempted by one as find near impossible to get a hard wearin long jacket in Ireland. R they suitable for all day wearing at everything from weldin to fencing?

I’m of similarly slight proportions and I’ve just checked in my Betacraft jacket (the ripstop one, the same as Kiawaka material).

I normally take an XL but this one is L. It’s not snug at all, and I only ever wear it over overalls and a fleece. I’d think it would be like a tent if I only had a tee shirt underneath tbh.

Ha not often I get call slight these days 🙌. Thanks for the advice, I’m keen on the Mamaku Jacket. Normally have to wear Kaiwaka bib and brace through the winter, it takes the brunt of the punishment.
