30k mueller here. Go bigger than an artic, the extra cost is negligible. Cooled through a 3.5t Ice bank, 2 compressors on the silo but don’t rely on silo to cool much
How many cows do you milk?

Be careful where the agitator is and that it doesn’t need a minimum amount in it to agitate and cool. Our Kristal needs 2500L in it before It agitates and cools which is pretty annoying with block calving
Exactlyespecially if you ask if it will be a issue and they say no!
Good idea with the peristaltic pumps having a clear cover so you can see if the pipes are flattened.Hi. Here it's in it's finished state.
About the only good thing about them, got them on fullwood robots and they are shiteGood idea with the peristaltic pumps having a clear cover so you can see if the pipes are flattened.
Or know of any second hand for sale?Anyone had any prices for silos recently?
Priced a 50k one and it was £70kOr know of any second hand for sale?
Muller leave artic tank trailers at some suppliers.Any preference on size? Is there much point having more than a artic load sized silo? I had thought a 40 but now thinking when doing it a 50k one isn’t that much more expensive. My milk gets collected twice a day atm and with yew tree selling to muller i can’t see that still happening. Plus the stress of cooling milk just now is high. As tanker is normally sitting waiting on our milk after each milking so no room for error.
Cheaper buying a snap chiller than a huge silo.Muller leave artic tank trailers at some suppliers.
All the ones I’ve seen are just butted up tight to the side. Cut a hole in the wall and then stainless steel insert to join the twoAnyone care to share pictures of there silos tied into existing dairy’s ?
how does that work re sampling etc? if you get a high bactoscan it could be their tanker?Muller leave artic tank trailers at some suppliers.
Should be traceable to the tanker as they get swapped? Just a guess.how does that work re sampling etc? if you get a high bactoscan it could be their tanker?
We used UPVC to do the tank room doorways and butt up to the tank i'll get some pictures, cheap easy and very cleanable.Anyone care to share pictures of there silos tied into existing dairy’s ?
