Anyone had any luck with this? We run a small beef suckler herd and had newforest terrible last year affecting all our yearlings and even some of our cows. We are starting to get it again this year. We do the normal flypor and have tried the garlic mineral lick last year near the end of the summer. Does anything totally prevent it?

Have used a vaccine this year on our youngest dairy bred cattle (last august- September born). Haven’t had a case so far and would upward get problems with it. Vet imported for us but wasn’t a big cost.

We've actually gone down the fly control ear tag route this year now, tags by flectron, we tagged them all yesterday. I'm dubious that they'll work myself but thats what we are trying this year so might be interesting, I'll report back in the Autumn to see how we got on.
