Next Tory Leader

I was talking about all his other promises, but even he was back tracking on leaving with no deal I thought. He wouldn’t commit to leaving with no deal in that debate
No he wouldn't. I can't imagine that will endear him to his next electorate. He was characteristically evasive on Heathrow too. But he's probably done enough and is still by far most likely to be the next PM. So how does it play out now?

Sheep farming got mentioned twice in the debate. Hunt said he’d been talking to a Shropshire sheep farmer about how a no deal would ruin his business.

I know he won’t win but I am warming hugely to Stewart.

He’s actually done something with his life rather than just moved from think tank bod to MP’s researcher to MP. He is like a mad colonial throwback with his Hong Kong/Eton childhood, experiences in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere and with that comes knowledge of the real world. I believe he also represents England’s most rural constituency so as farmers that must give us some comfort.

He's played up his CV no end and a hell of a lot of his 'advancements' have been on the back of 'connections'. Check out what he has attributed to him and then compare that to what is known, e.g. foreign office statements, military briefings, actual and factual events in places where he was and all of a sudden he turns out not to have been the man with a plan but, in fact, to have been a minion with a plinion*.

I thought Boris would commit to out on 31/10 ready or not but he seemed to duck that?

I think you are creating constraints of your own making.

Even if the PM of the UK doesn't want a "No Deal" that doesn't mean they won't have one .. nor that they will keep their job.

And seeing as this is just a TV debate .. it's not relevant either.

Stupid to keep asking boris that question, would any of us call for boris to resign if he got us an improved deal but needed 2-3 extra days to get it signed off . No we wouldnt , Gove and Hunt would be the most likely to want a few months extra and rory would still be pushing TM's deal in two years time.

Every time Boris speaks he is immediately interrupted. Rory never gets interrupted. Rory also seems to get more air time than anyone else.

Not exactly a fair and impartial event.
It's the BBC... & Emily Maitles ,who I strongly suspect is either Gary Lineker in drag, or a Cardassian…

Well, not really stupid to ask as he's been banging on about it then goes all coy when in the spotlight.
