NH steering issues/signal

I was looking at a friend's NH T7 today, it's steer ready and he's fitted a Nav controller and antenna. Dealer has updated all the software, fitted a new angle sensor and calibrated it.

He's tried using the auto steer, it worked ok for a couple of runs then started missing strips.

I've looked at it today, fixed some other things on the tractor then calibrated the steering once again, everything calibrates fine however after a few mins I try to set another ab line and it won't follow it, it's visibly missing the line by a meter or more even though the cross track error is minimal.

It's currently on Egnos, does this sound like a signal issue? I was thinking of getting a RTX trial and test it again to see if there's any difference.

Egnos will be the issue here with drift.
Speak to the guys at RTKFnet 01223 902331
Tell them Elliot at ERH said to call to see what they think.

I’m led to believe that the cable to wheel angle sensor can be rubbed inside that steel conduit pipe on top of axle beam but should show up on a calibration I would think, was angle sensor correctly fitted? Again should show up during calibration. An rtx trial would be useful, have you set the aggressiveness, p gain and all other initial setting first?

Fitted by the main dealer, I'm assuming it was all done ok. Calibration works fine, it doesn't seem to steer erratically it goes off line and stays off it from what's I've witnessed so far.

Far to wet to go in the field so I've only been doing it on the drive/yard so haven't had decent long runs to play with.

We are also dealers for CHCNAV if anyone would like another affordable autosteer option, this time with a single antenna with the IMU built in.
Camera included in the kit
Uturn as standard
EGNOS or RTK (With subscription)

I had a steering angle sensor go on mine and that is what it was doing but somewhere on screen you could see the degrees as you turned the wheel? On mine every time you turned back to centre it showed different degrees

so you're saying the tractor thinks its online, as cross track is minimal, but you can see it's not?? It's not something like an off set has been put in is it? I had something similar years ago but can't remember what caused it

I will have a dig through the menus and see what I can find

Yes, from the short runs I did the cross track error was minimal but I was visibly way out
Sounds like rubbish egnos accuracy to me.
Has been awful whenever I've tried using it.
Hence I've put up my own mast.
That's what I'm thinking.

What satellites should it be following? I noticed it's set to 136

That’s a wheel angle sensor issue. I’ve seen it before. Check wiring. Try to give the angle sensor a new “clean “ power and ground. If that sorted it it’s then the wiring.
