Nozzle camera

I’m toying with the idea of fitting a camera to the back of the sprayer so I can keep an eye on the nozzles that can’t be seen from the cab. Just wondering if anyone else has done this and if/how well it works?

I’ve got one, can see the back 4 nozzles really well, but the boom has to be reasonably high, can’t see them with pre ems. It’s also very handy as a reversing camera.

My neighbour had lovely green stripes all through his sprayed off barley volunteers last autumn where a nozzle blocked on the centre section, that’s a reduction in efficacy!
I just like the idea for peace of mind really, the kits not expensive so I’m just curious to see if it works.

Ive had a few black grass stripes over the years because of blocked nozzles. I can’t quite see the 2 nozzles behind the wheels. Think I would need 2 cameras for that

I'd a reversing camera that incidentally doubled as a boom nozzle camera if boom at right height. Was strangely therapeutic watching it.

Would think you'd need a specialist camera to cover four nozzles when it's mounted reasonably close.

Why? I've never seen any reduction in efficacy of sprays due to blocked nozzle?

When washing out I just turn off auto and have a look round back.
I had a strip of fat-hen up the centre of every tramline in the beet the other year due to a blocked nozzle, right next to the fekin road as well 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Thanks, I had wondered whether we’d be able to get enough angle to cover the whole section and also whether the picture quality is good enough. I’ll get one I think and have a play about.

Mine is on the frame of the sprayer rather than the boom, it’s a fixed position. Quite happy with the spot, can’t always see the spray especially if the sun is directly behind

Must need 2 blocked together to get green stripes? As they overlap if boom at right height?
Sounds like you should consider shutting off every other nozzle and saving a fortune.
I was spraying a pre em once and managed to spray 100 acres with a nozzle out in the centre section. Saw the results all season.
To make matters worse we had commissioned a video made of the farming year and he was filming me and you can see it very plainly in the film
