Pick up truck metal thickness?

Because the metal/tin that my Isuzu is made of,seems so thin that you can almost put a dent in it with your thumb if one presses hard enough!!!!

do you mean the inside of the tub or the external bodywork? Mitsubishi seems bendy outside but load area pretty tough

Flat panels are always more flexible than curved ones, if that is of any use.
Isuzu and Nissan are built down to a price to compete at the lower price end of the market, but that really shouldn't mean that quality suffers unduly where it matters.

My VW is pretty good, I’m sure @Drillman will tell you the same about his Ford Ute. I agree some pickups do feel tiny when you close doors etc.
There's not a single dent in my well used farm Ford truck yet and it is over six years old. Perhaps that says more about the way we drive it with respect and with a bit of luck than otherwise? It's one of the heaviest trucks available though and everything feels really solid about it. Zero body rust but I should re-treat the chassis before Winter.

Another moan, the metallic paint scratches very easily. I do not know why Isuzu do not offer a
standard paint which does not show scratches like mettalic.I am sure most of you drive down farm tracks that by the end of the summer have briars protruding out into the track which brush against your truck as you go about your daily work, and in doing so end up with the odd scratch on your metallic painted truck.

Maybe they should give away a strimmer with every truck?

The paint on our last pickup was crap, trying some coatings on ours this time to see if it helps.

Some areas will be designed to be softer/Flexi for pedestrian safety (counts towards their NCAP rating). Is it actually denting? Or can you push it in and it will pop out again?

Had three or four round bales fall against the side of the bed on mine...... it folded like a squashed coke can and then popped back out like a bass drum. Left a small fold that may pop out if I take the wheel arch out and twonk it From the inside.
