I can see my architect being very concerned about the apparent lack of diagonal bracing but maybe that is done with steel ropes not visible in the photographs and the buildings are in an area where they don't get strong winds? Even with the ventilated sides, winds would impose considerable stresses on that design up here in the north. Sorry, but someone had to ask.

There are steel ropes bracing diagonally in the first picture.

I wonder how much a new hydro pole would be?

I've often wondered, £250/300 for a small one? Can't be cheap.

I have a few strainers made from sections of new (at the time) electric poles. I assume they were offcuts from poles produced by a telephone pole factory up the road (since gone bust). They wouldn't have been that expensive or I wouldn't have bought them!

I should add that our landlord built it for us, I wouldn't post photos of any of the sheds I have built on here
