I am thinking of making a trailer to make my wood processor mobile, I am looking for horizontal shaft engine so I can fit a spline shaft to it to drive it, any idea's or suggestions gratefully received..

You'll need a gearbox as well surely, to get the output coupling to run at 540? Belts on a jackshaft for the output perhaps? How many horsepower does the processor need - you can get Honda clones pretty cheap but only up to about 18hp which probably won't drive much of a processor.

Hey, I am not really sure yet, the pto only drives an oil pump, specs say 7.5kw, hydraulic flow 39L/min
hydraulic pressure 180bar.
I will have ring round some hydraulic and engine companies and glean some more information off them..

Thank you, we have now decided to sell the Hakki Pilke OH27, and buy a towable wood processor, its by far the easiest option..
