pwm contoller for 12v pto solenoid

Was looking for a way to slow down pto engagement , the valve is pwm controlled but there is no way to adjust the settings in the module.

Was after a little contol box to adjust the duty cylcle on the valve to slow down the take up. I can find pleanty of pwm contollers for fans and lights but none for solenoids

Thanks

Slowing the Pwm may help soften your engagement but be careful as slowing it too much can cause slippage and premature wear of the pack.
Can you not fit a small accumulator in the pto line to absorb and soften the pressure spike .

I thought about that it's in a claas and there is no external pipe work to play with it's all in the casting

Was going to be crude and weld some of the holes up in the spool but thought might try modulating it first

It's on a mill mixer so heavy to start up as shaft is connected straight to drum. Every other tractor will start it no problem just the claas engaugment is too fast!

Yep heavy start up and slowing the Pwm too much is a recipe for a burnt out pack.
which modelClass?

Not sure never had a pto out a Claas to be fair so not sure what to suggest, same set up as a Massey so perhaps some of the MF boys could suggest something, don’t know if the MF have the same issue or it’s the class software.

The later ones that comply with mother regs have 2 options high torque start up or soft start they all come from factory set to high torque

Mines too old so there is no adjustment hence wanted little controller just to slow it down so I dont need to buy shares In a shear bolt company

Krone square balers can be a pic to start, so they fit a hydraulic motor with an over run clutch. Motor starts everything spinning around 200rpm, then drop the PTO in and stop the motor.
May be an option?

I have the very same problem on a case 140 maxxum, very aggressive start up when the back end is hot in the summer months, so much so it will brake the yoke end on a berthoud trailed sprayer, and shock load the fert spreader on start up, i have even got it calabrated to start slower but to no avail even got a new pwm solanoid, any help much appreciated,

Would a slip clutch in the pto shaft on the implement help ? Something available from vapormatic or such like?

Such a clutch was an option on

Such a clutch was an option on Amazone ZAM.
Thanks for your suggestion, The spreader has it own slip clutch but it doesn't seem to be of any help, last season the fert spreader shore a shaft key on the disc, thats how sharp the start up is.
