@jamesy Seriously - do VOSA actually get to Orkney - really?
And surely if they do - a relative works on the boat and all of Orkney has their vehicles off the road inside a few minutes - which is where they spend most of their time anyway?

Personally I don't see an issue with this clearly sub optimal repair, apart from a potentially long walk home across bogs. :)

Drilling forage maize today. Our 1982 Nodet Pneumasem 2 is getting a bit tired now so I just "supported" both markers at the right height with cattle farmers friend. Then, half way through the afternoon a roll pin snapped holding the handwheel on the top of the press wheel assembly adjuster letting it all fall out. Cue the farmers friend again until I found an old screw about right to knock in where the roll pin had been to finish off.

:)

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
