Rate for baling quadrant bales

What's broken?

Crop holding forks in the back of the stuffer chamber, 3 off the forks have snapped off plus the shaft has snapped in half.
I've had it out before and welded it up, but this time it needs a new one as it's a proper ball ache to get out.

That's what I charge for good tight bales, I lost some work last year because a chap come in 10p a bale cheaper but when I saw the bales there was hardly enough in them to hold them together.

I also know of one chap charging 2.30-2.50 for 5fts but I'll gladly stand and watch him while laughing my head off.

Depends how many times you have to fo back to the field to finish it .a lot of records will be smashed this season

Blimey perhaps im To cheap but I thought I was inline with NAAC published prices.

Think he means undercutting the rate til it so low when you have a breakdown like mine there's nothing in the pot to fix it.

I don't think I'm under cutting anyone just charging a fair price for a fair service and at the rates I charge there's enough in it for me to keep a newish decent machine that's well maintained. Also I can take the rough with the smooth I earn enough to the good jobs to be able to pop down the road for the 2 or 3 acres my customer what's baled before the rain.
