RPA Harassment

I’m looking for others that are being treated the same way by the RPA - this is the shortened version!
We have just been selected for our 4th ‘random’ inspection by the RPA/APHA in the last 5 years.
We have never failed an inspection, never had so much as a tag out of place or a misfiled license etc.
After the last inspection we went farm assured to try and reduce the amount they were coming.
We run 1000 ewes over 3 different holdings and with going away in the winter for keep tend to generate a lot of paperwork due to this. This apparently means we’re high risk.
I’ve gone through the NFU and local MP to try and get them to stop but it just seems to be getting worse!
Has anyone else experienced this level of inspection and if so did they have any luck in getting them to pack it in?!
If there’s others out there who are in the same position and want to share their stories then a group going for the RPA might also have more clout!

Thank you, I’ve been in touch with people dealing with this and have done FOI requests on the RPA that made it worse for a while as well. I’m just trying to find anyone else that might be in the same position
Between 2021 and last year I had sheep inspection twice and one cross compliance

Are you a new business? When I started out on my own I was averaging some form of government inspection every six weeks over the first two and half years. It got to the stage where I was just about ready to give up I was spending more time on inspections than farming. I phoned up the head honcho at our local rpa office and told him that I was going to have to quit as my mental health and bank balance could no longer stand this persecution . It worked and they backed off but as a new business the rpa were the biggest hindrance to me getting going, so I do feel you’re pain.

I’ve been farming for 10 years. I’ve tried the mental health card, I’ve even sent them a bill for my time. They once came an inspected a holding that had been closed for 18 months and they had lost the paperwork for some of the moments that I had to give them!
I did a FOI request on the RPA the time before last and that magically triggered a full blown cross compliance inspection!

Used to clip sheep for a biggish outfit in Suffolk. He said they got inspected every year. They had sheep on slot of ground and so we're classed as high risk.

Could you not group a couple of holdings onto a TLA? Might reduce your "risk" level.
