Scorch

Anyone ever seen this before or any idea why it happened? Spraying maize prior, was triple rinsed prior to spraying this. Scorch is only in the width of the machine runs most of the headland, stops and then starts again to a lesser degree on the next run.
section is 6m So not even one section causing an issue

Agronomist suggested it could be residual chem on the sprayer chassis but it’s a SP on row crops and the barely wouldn’t have been anywhere near that high.

Being thick but how so?
As per the vehicle driving down the tramline theory. Its looks like the kind of damage from machinery rubbing on the crop, and given its confined to that area ie wheelings and between.

Did the sprayer exit the maize field by driving through a sprayed part? Normally I will do the centre of the field, then headlands last, then exit. Could the ag chem have been tasnfered to the sprayer, and then rubbed off onto the barley in that first stretch?

How fast was your forward speed when spraying?
I’ve had better coverage behind the sprayer due to the air turbulence.
What was in the spray mix?

Maize was only very low crop but yes would’ve exited over a sprayed crop. Would’ve travelled a good 10 miles between jobs though. Possible I guess that with a bit of wind it moistened the undercarriage and that’s what’s dropped off

It was a chap who drives for me but normally 8-9k on the headlands….. it was probably at the upper limit of acceptable wind when we sprayed as we were running out of time.

In the middle.
Looks like scorch from hot oil. Is the a bigger patch were the sprayer folded and unfolded. I've got a small area in some wheat that looks the same where an o ring went on the main flow pipe on the sprayer.

Could some of the rinse/tank cleaner got left in the centre section and slowly diluted as you sprayed. When rinsing my sprayer I open the end taps and drain each section and use the air tank to blow out the lines but filter bowls won’t empty so have to manually empty them.
